With tropical sun almost guaranteed, Discovery Parks – Airlie Beach offers all of the facilities you need for a resort-style holiday.

There is a range of accommodation to suit all group sizes and budgets at this caravan park. Choose from one of the many cabins, from the cosy 1-bedroom cabin, just right for a couple, all the way through to the spacious family 2-bedroom cabins sleeping up to 6 people. All of the cabins are beautifully fitted out, with modern appliances, air-conditioning and a balcony to sit out on of an evening and listen to the surrounding birds and wildlife. There are also accessible cabins available for your convenience.

In order to really enjoy the resort style ambience of the park, you can opt for the Deluxe Bali Villa with thatched roof and lush, tropical surroundings. Or if you prefer the comfort of your own caravan or tent, there are a range of powered and unpowered sites, including a number of ensuite sites, all of which benefit from lush green grass and plenty of shady trees, for the ultimate campsite.

Discovery Parks – Airlie Beach is well known for its facilities which are guaranteed to keep the whole family happy. The kids will want to spend all day in the onsite waterpark or playing in the playground. There is also a large swimming pool shaded by a sail and a mountain bike track to explore. Available for hire are go-carts and bikes. When it is time to cool down, there is an activity room packed with video-games and a TV as well as internet points to keep you connected.

Discovery Parks – Airlie Beach is also known for the abundant wildlife living in and around the park, including kangaroos, possums and myriad birds. In fact, the birds are so abundant, one of the favourite activities in the park is the daily feeding session first thing in the morning, where you’ll be amazed by the colour and noise of the visiting rainbow lorikeets.

Of course, no tropical holiday is complete without the beach, and Discovery Parks – Airlie Beach is perfectly situated to enjoy the sun and sand both on the mainland as well as on the nearby islands of the Whitsundays. Take one of the many cruises out to Hamilton Island or one of the other islands in order to experience the sea life, water sports and relaxation of the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays themselves.

If you prefer hiking to swimming, the Conway National Park offers all kinds of walking trails for every ability. You can take in the scenery and spend hours birdwatching or marvelling over the majestic plants and trees which characterise this spectacular part of the Queensland coast.

At the end of the day, you can return to the caravan parks, prepare a meal in the camp kitchen or on one of the onsite BBQs and then put your feet up, listen to the evening bird calls and watch as the stars come out over tropical paradise.
